Mr. Golam Akbar Khondakar is the Founder Chairman of Regent Group Ltd. He completed his BA (Hons) & Masters in Political Science from University of Chittagong. He has been involved in diversified business that includes Paper, Textiles, Real-Estate, Chemicals and Shipping. Mr. Akbar belongs from a prestigious family of Chittagong and his father Late Mohammad Al-Haj M A H Khondakar had diversified business in the paper, leather and oil industries since 1950. Beside his career in the commercial arena Mr. Akbar has been the Member of Parliament of Chittagong-06 (Raozan), Ambassador to the Sultan of Oman & Senate Member of University of Chittagong. He is currently the Advisor to the Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Begum Khaleda Zia. Mr. Akbar enjoys travelling different countries and has visited USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Canada, Greece, Belgium, Ireland, Hungary, Luxembourg, Albania, Iceland, Spain, Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and China. During leisure Mr. Akbar spends time with his family & involves himself with philanthropic activities.

Barrister Tareque Akbar Khondakar is the Managing Director of Regent Group and Chairman of Regent Design & Development Ltd. Mr. Tareque completed his LLB (BA Hons) & LLM in Corporate & Commercial Law with First Class/Distinction from one of the reputed Top 5 Law Schools of UK namely Queen Mary, University of London. Afterwards he completed his Bar Professional Training Course (Barrister-at-Law) from The University of Law and is currently a Member of The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Barrister Tareque was a Part-Lecturer in Law at Queen Mary, University of London and had practiced Corporate & Commercial Law at one of the renowned corporate law houses of Bangladesh namely ‘Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates’. Remarkably, he obtained the Daily Star Award for his outstanding results at Edexcel GCE O Levels & A Levels and received the highest marks in the country in Biology, Chemistry & Mathematics. Barrister Tareque is the Founder of a Leading Youth development organisation called Youth Voice of Bangladesh (YVB) which is working in Youth Leadership & Youth Awareness.

Galib Akbar Khondakar is the Deputy Managing Director of Regent Group. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies (BBA) from University of Wales and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Bedfordshire. Mr. Galib also completed Diploma-in-Law from University of London & completed his GCE O Levels & A Levels from Scholastica, Dhaka. Earlier he completed his schooling from one of the reputed international schools of the Sultanate of Oman namely The British School Muscat.
